beetle

for illustration friday.

my take on the theme "insect" -- i wasn't in the mood to draw a spindly-legged critter, and i remembered i had taken a photo of a cute little beetle on one of my morning walks along the upper west side. so i used that as my reference picture for this illustration.

i don't own a car -- don't drive, can drive, but have the absolute worse sense of direction so i don't think it'd be wise to ever have me behind the wheel. but in any case, many of my friends have told me that if i were to own a car, they'd see me zooming around in a little beetle. hmmm.
